together with Kogure Kiminobu, makes up the pair of Mr. Nice-Guys in 'Slam Dunk'. He is quiet, mild and good-natured, thoughtful and generous. He has faith in people and a healthy respect for all things. 
          As a student and team member, he is obedient, hardworking and cooperative. Although he is very self-effacing, he can be brave and stand up to what he thinks is wrong.
          He is an outstandingly unexceptional character. And he is so nice he is painfully boring.
